Build Your Sensor

The LATTICE L6V is a six-module linear array in a vertical frame — six LATTICE 3.2MP camera modules held coplanar in a 2 x 3 portrait layout with per-module aluminum heatsinks and a 1/4-20 tripod mount. Every sensor sits on the same plane and fires on the same trigger, so the bands land in register. Each module is independently selectable: choose any combination of lens and filter for Modules 1 through 6 using the dropdowns above.

Every L6V ships fully assembled, synchronized, and tested. Modules can be swapped in the field as your requirements evolve.

Why Vertical?

The L6V carries exactly the same six modules, the same filter choices, and the same sync as the L6 — turned ninety degrees. Two modules wide instead of three, three tall instead of two.

That matters whenever the mount is narrower than it is tall. Pole and mast installations, vehicle A-pillar and roll-bar brackets, greenhouse gantries, narrow gimbals, and conveyor or sorting lines all constrain width far more than height. A vertical array clears those brackets while presenting the same aperture area to the scene.

The tall footprint also suits cross-track work: with the long axis of the array across the direction of travel, the wide-lens fields of view stack into a taller swath per pass.

Why Six Modules?

Every bay is chosen independently. An M3C color module carries a fixed filter set — RGN, OCN and NGB are calibrated three-channel filters, and RGB is a conventional color camera for a true-color record — so a color bay gives you the bands that set carries. An M3M monochrome module carries a single narrowband channel, chosen from 23 filters spanning 385 to 988nm and isolated on its own sensor behind one interference filter, with no demosaic and no channel crosstalk.

Most arrays mix the two. Color sets are worth pairing when they land on different bands: RGN with OCN covers six unique bands and repeats nothing. RGN and NGB are not a useful pair — they share their green and NIR channels, so the second module buys you only one new band. Mono modules then fill what the sets do not reach: a common four-module build is RGB + RGN + F450 + F715, adding a blue and a red-edge band neither color set carries. Six bays let you run two color sets and still keep bays free for the bands they do not reach — a red edge for NDRE, a UV band for surface and disease work, or a matched pair bracketing one absorption feature.

You can also fill all six bays with M3M monochrome modules for an all-narrowband array: six discrete bands captured simultaneously across the same scene.

What's Included

The L6V array includes six LATTICE camera modules mounted in a shared 2 x 3 vertical frame with an integrated 1/4-20 tripod thread in the base and aluminum heatsinks for passive thermal management. All six camera modules are sealed to IP67, and all rear connectors — M12 X-coded GigE Ethernet (PoE) and M8 trigger sync — are waterproof.

Unlike the L1 through L4 arrays, the larger frames ship without a ventilated cowl. The open frame walls leave the heatsinks exposed to ambient air, and each module carries its own IP67 seal.

A note on cooling: how many heatsinks a module can carry depends on its position in the frame. Modules in the middle of the stack have fewer free faces, so they carry fewer heatsinks and will run warmer than the modules at the ends. Allow airflow across the frame in sustained or high-ambient deployments.

All six modules connect to a single sync harness, ensuring simultaneous capture with less than 100μs offset between sensors. The global shutter on each module freezes the entire frame, enabling pixel-accurate band alignment even on moving platforms.

Each module requires its own M12-to-RJ45 Ethernet cable for data and power. A 6-camera sync cable harness connects all modules for synchronized triggering, and fits both the L6 and L6V layouts (add both above, and explore more accessories here).

Choose Your Configuration

Select a lens and filter for each module independently:

Lens options: The L87 wide lens (3.5mm, f/2.8, 90° horizontal) covers broad scenes for area monitoring, canopy coverage, and aerial imaging. The L41 narrow lens (9.6mm, f/3.0, 41° horizontal) offers tighter framing for targeted measurement at greater standoff distances.

Filter options: An M3C color module carries a 3-channel filter set. RGN (Red, Green, NIR) is the most common choice for vegetation indices like NDVI. OCN (Orange, Cyan, NIR) provides an alternative band combination for certain crop and soil analyses. NGB (NIR, Green, Blue) is suited for water quality and coastal monitoring. Those three are calibrated narrowband sets. RGB is a conventional color camera for reference imagery and visual inspection — its channels are not calibrated and overlap as any color camera’s do, so it is a visual record rather than a measurement. An M3M mono module carries one narrowband filter instead, chosen from 23 options between 385nm and 988nm.

Common L6V configurations: RGN + OCN + four M3M mono — two color sets that share no bands, plus four narrowband channels placed where they leave gaps. RGB + RGN + F450 + F715 + two M3M mono — a true-color record, a standard NDVI set, narrowband blue and red edge, and two more bands of your choosing. Six M3M mono — six discrete bands and nothing else, for lab, greenhouse, and research work where band purity matters more than a visual reference.

Scales When You Do

The L6V is the vertical six-module array. Its horizontal twin is the L6, and the L8V extends the same two-wide profile to eight modules. Below them, the L1, L2, L3, and L4 arrays carry one, two, three, and four modules in the smaller cowled frames, and the L5 covers five modules. Above them, the L9 carries nine modules in a 3 x 3 grid. Every LATTICE array connects to the same Chloros processing pipeline — calibration targets, DAQ ambient light sensors, and Chloros+ automation features work identically across all array sizes.
