Build Your Sensor

The LATTICE L2 is a two-module linear array — two LATTICE 3.2MP camera modules mounted side by side on a shared frame with heatsinks, a UV-resistant ventilated cowl, and a 1/4-20 tripod mount. Each module is independently selectable: choose any combination of lens and filter for Module 1 and Module 2 using the dropdowns above.

Every L2 ships fully assembled, synchronized, and tested. Modules can be swapped in the field as your requirements evolve.

Why Two Modules?

A single LATTICE module captures 3 spectral bands. That's enough for common indices like NDVI — but many applications need more spectral information than three bands can provide. A second module doubles your spectral coverage to 6 bands, captured simultaneously across the same scene.

More bands mean more precise discrimination. With 6 channels you can separate signals that overlap in a 3-band measurement — distinguishing chlorophyll stress from water stress, differentiating soil types under sparse canopy, or isolating specific material signatures in industrial inspection. Each additional spectral channel adds a dimension to your data, and Chloros aligns and stacks them automatically.

You can also pair two modules with different lens focal lengths — one wide for spatial context, one narrow for higher-resolution detail on the same target — or duplicate the same filter across both modules for stereo-style coverage and redundancy.

What's Included

The L2 array includes two LATTICE camera modules mounted on a shared frame with integrated 1/4-20 tripod thread, aluminum heatsinks for passive thermal management, and a ventilated cowl for UV and weather protection. Both camera modules are sealed to IP67, and all rear connectors — M12 X-coded GigE Ethernet (PoE) and M8 trigger sync — are waterproof.

Both modules connect to a single sync harness, ensuring simultaneous capture with less than 100μs offset between sensors. The global shutter on each module freezes the entire frame, enabling pixel-accurate band alignment even on moving platforms.

Each module requires its own M12-to-RJ45 Ethernet cable for data and power. A sync cable harness connects the two modules for synchronized triggering (add both above, and explore more accessories here).

Choose Your Configuration

Select a lens and filter for each module independently:

Lens options: The 87° wide lens (3.5mm, f/2.8) covers broad scenes for area monitoring, canopy coverage, and aerial imaging. The 41° narrow lens offers tighter framing for targeted measurement at greater standoff distances.

  Distance 1m Distance 5m Distance 10m
LATT-M3-L87 1.5m Width (0.1cm/px) 7.6m Width (0.5cm/px) 15.1m Width (1.0cm/px)
LATT-M3-L41 0.6m Width (0.04cm/px) 2.8m Width (0.18cm/px) 5.5m Width (0.36cm/px)

Filter options: Each filter defines which three spectral bands a module captures. RGN (Red, Green, NIR) is the most common choice for vegetation indices like NDVI. OCN (Orange, Cyan, NIR) provides an alternative band combination for certain crop and soil analyses. NGB (NIR, Green, Blue) is suited for water quality and coastal monitoring. RGB captures standard visible color for reference imagery and visual inspection.

Common L2 configurations: RGN + OCN — 6 unique bands covering visible through NIR, the widest spectral range in a two-module setup. Ideal for comprehensive vegetation analysis. RGN + RGB — 3 multispectral bands plus a true-color reference channel. Useful when you need both index data and a conventional visual record.

Scales When You Do

Need more spectral coverage? Step up to a LATTICE L3 (9 bands) or L4 (12 bands). Need fewer? The L1 single-module array covers 3-band applications at a lower entry point. Every LATTICE array connects to the same Chloros processing pipeline — calibration targets, DAQ ambient light sensors, and Chloros+ automation features work identically across all array sizes.
