The LATTICE L9 is a nine-module linear array â nine LATTICE 3.2MP camera modules held coplanar in a 3 x 3 frame with per-module aluminum heatsinks. Every sensor sits on the same plane and fires on the same trigger, so the bands land in register. Each module is independently selectable: choose any combination of lens and filter for Modules 1 through 9 using the dropdowns above.
Every L9 ships fully assembled, synchronized, and tested. Modules can be swapped in the field as your requirements evolve.
The L9 is the largest LATTICE array we build. Nine modules is up to twenty-seven channels from a single trigger, and a 3 x 3 grid is the most compact way to carry them â every module is within one bay of the frame's center, so the parallax between the outermost sensors stays small even on a wide lens.
MAPIR's four 3-channel filter sets â RGN, OCN, NGB, and RGB â cover twelve unique bands between them, which is the ceiling of an all-color array. The remaining bays on an L9 draw on the M3M monochrome catalog, and that is what a nine-module array is really for: narrowband channels spanning UV through NIR, each isolated on its own sensor behind a single interference filter, with no demosaic and no channel crosstalk.
At that density you stop choosing between indices. Red edge for NDRE, a UV channel for surface and disease work, paired NIR points separating canopy structure from canopy moisture, and a true-color reference â all from the same exposure, all pixel-registered by the global shutter. It is a dataset dense enough to train and run classification models rather than just compute a ratio.
You can also fill all nine bays with M3M monochrome modules for an all-narrowband array: nine discrete bands captured simultaneously across the same scene. For lab, greenhouse, and research work this is the closest LATTICE comes to a snapshot spectrometer with imaging optics.
The L9 array includes nine LATTICE camera modules mounted in a shared 3 x 3 frame with aluminum heatsinks for passive thermal management. All nine camera modules are sealed to IP67, and all rear connectors â M12 X-coded GigE Ethernet (PoE) and M8 trigger sync â are waterproof.
The base of the frame carries a mounting pad with four 1/4-20 threads â the same thread as a standard tripod screw, four of them, on a 33 x 46 mm pattern. Bolt the array straight down to your own bracket, or add the optional LATTICE Array Tripod Mount Plate, which adapts the pad to a single centered 1/4-20 for standard tripods, clamps, and heads.

Unlike the L1 through L4 arrays, the larger frames ship without a ventilated cowl. The open frame walls leave the heatsinks exposed to ambient air, and each module carries its own IP67 seal.
A note on cooling: how many heatsinks a module can carry depends on its position in the frame, and the L9 is the extreme case. The eight modules around the perimeter carry one or two heatsinks each. The module in the center of the 3 x 3 grid is enclosed on every side and carries none at all â the only position in the LATTICE range without a heatsink, and it will run warmer than the eight around it. Allow airflow across the frame in sustained or high-ambient deployments, and consider which band you put in that middle bay.
All nine modules connect to a single sync harness, ensuring simultaneous capture with less than 100Ξs offset between sensors. The global shutter on each module freezes the entire frame, enabling pixel-accurate band alignment even on moving platforms.
That 9-camera sync cable harness is included with every L9, so the modules arrive wired for synchronized triggering. Each module still requires its own M12-to-RJ45 Ethernet cable for data and power â add those above, and explore more accessories here.
Plan your switch capacity accordingly: nine modules means nine PoE ports and nine simultaneous GigE streams.

Select a lens and filter for each module independently:
Lens options: The L87 wide lens (3.5mm, f/2.8, 90° horizontal) covers broad scenes for area monitoring, canopy coverage, and aerial imaging. The L41 narrow lens (9.6mm, f/3.0, 41° horizontal) offers tighter framing for targeted measurement at greater standoff distances.

Filter options: An M3C color module carries a 3-channel filter set. RGN (Red, Green, NIR) is the most common choice for vegetation indices like NDVI. OCN (Orange, Cyan, NIR) provides an alternative band combination for certain crop and soil analyses. NGB (NIR, Green, Blue) is suited for water quality and coastal monitoring. RGB captures standard visible color for reference imagery and visual inspection. An M3M mono module carries one narrowband filter instead, chosen from 23 options between 385nm and 988nm.
Common L9 configurations: RGB + RGN + OCN + six M3M mono â the standard build. A true-color record, the NDVI workhorse, and the alternate orange/cyan set, with six bays left for narrowband channels of your choosing; those are usually F450 for blue and a red edge such as F725, plus whatever your application calls for. RGB + RGN + OCN + NGB + five M3M mono â trade one mono bay for the NGB set when you need the NIR/green/blue combination for water or coastal work. Nine M3M mono â nine discrete bands and nothing else, the highest band purity LATTICE offers. Two L87 rows + one L41 row â wide-area capture and high-resolution detail on the same spectral set, captured together.
The L9 is the top of the LATTICE range. Below it, the L8V carries eight modules in a narrower two-wide frame, the L6 and L6V carry six in horizontal and vertical layouts, and the L5 carries five. The L1, L2, L3, and L4 arrays cover 3, 6, 9, and 12 channels in the smaller cowled frames. Every LATTICE array connects to the same Chloros processing pipeline â calibration targets, DAQ ambient light sensors, and Chloros+ automation features work identically across all array sizes.
