Burn Scar (Vegetation Fire)
This survey was of a burn scar created by a recent vegetation fire. The DJI Mavic 3E Enterprise drone carried the Survey3N RGN and Survey3N OCN cameras using our DJI Mavic 3 MAPIR Survey3 - Dual 2 Camera Mount, along with the DAQ-A-SD light sensor (spectrometer) and covered the 44 acre area in one battery. Photos of our Diffuse Reflectance Standard Calibration Target Package (T3-R125) were captured just before the flight. The light sensor was started along with the cameras and logged any light changes. The RAW+JPG Survey3 images and DAQ log were converted and calibrated in our MAPIR Camera Control (MCC, desktop software), and the orthomosaic was produced in Pix4Dmapper.
Spectroradiometer field measurements were captured of various objects in the survey area. Their reflective signatures are shown below compared to our available Survey3 camera filter transmission ranges.
