Sugar Beet Field (350ft) - October 28th, 2018

This survey was of a sugar beet field which germinated about one month prior to these flights. The field is watered by furrow method draining out the top (North). You will notice the red area to the West and North East which is caused by a shallower elevation and the water pools there, reducing plant growth. The DJI Inspire 1 carried two cameras during each flight using our DJI Inspire 1 Dual Camera Mount, and covered the 50 acre survey in one battery. A photo of our Calibration Ground Target captured just before each flight was used in our free MAPIR Camera Control (MCC) software to calibrate the image prior to stitching into an orthomosaic on Drone Deploy.

This flight follows our recommended survey overlap of at least 70% front-lap and 70% side-lap and a maximum 5mph (8kmh) speed for every 65ft (20m) of altitude (AGL) for RAW+JPG mode, and a maximum 10mph (16kmh) speed for every 65ft (20m) of altitude (AGL) for JPG only mode.
