LATTICE Array Frame: 9 Cameras (L9)


This frame holds 9 LATTICE M3C/M3M modules.

The L9 Chassis

The structural frame for a LATTICE L9 array, and the largest frame MAPIR builds: a 3 x 3 cage that carries nine camera modules on a common plane so every sensor stays coplanar and the bands land in register.

A square grid is the most compact way to carry nine modules. Every bay sits within one position of the frame's center, which keeps the parallax between the outermost sensors small even on the wide L87 lens.

What You Get

Nine mounting bays on a common front face, a mounting pad at the base, and open side and top walls that leave the aluminum heatsinks exposed to ambient air. The rear of every bay stays clear, so the M12 X-coded GigE Ethernet and M8 trigger connectors remain accessible without pulling the array apart.

The pad carries four 1/4-20 threads — the same thread as a standard tripod screw, four of them — so you can bolt the frame straight to your own bracket. The optional LATTICE Array Tripod Mount Plate adapts the pad to a single centered 1/4-20 for standard tripods, clamps, and heads.

Note that the center bay of the 3 x 3 grid is enclosed on all four sides, so the module fitted there carries no heatsink and will run warmer than the eight around it. It is the only such position in the LATTICE range.

Unlike the L1 through L4 frames, the larger cages do not take a ventilated cowl, and no sunshade is offered in this size. Weather protection comes from the modules themselves, each sealed to IP67 with waterproof rear connectors.

If your mount is width-constrained, the L8V frame carries eight modules in a cage only two wide.

What You Don't Get

This is the bare chassis. Camera modules, heatsinks, M12-to-RJ45 Ethernet cables, the 9-camera sync harness, and the tripod mount plate are all sold separately. Plan your switch capacity too: a full L9 means nine PoE ports and nine simultaneous GigE streams.
